#FollowFriday: Instagramming Yoga Moms You Need to Know

Josephine, Melissa, Summer and Wah are living proof of the many benefits of yoga for moms. Yoga increases brain activity, range of motion in joints, improves posture and helps to increase strength, endurance, and energy levels while normalizing weight. Plus, practicing yoga improves sleep – something all moms need. These four ladies all show, with such grace, style and radiance, how good for the soul – and our eyes – yoga can be!

Summer Perez: YOGA LIFE LOVE LIVE BEAUTIFULLY visionary. free spirit. lover.

Yogi Summer’s inspirational feed is filled with uplifting quotes by the likes of Rumi and Ann Landers set to incredibly graceful and tranquil photos of herself posing with her kids. Other snaps, some set in the great outdoors, feature the whole fam – including Summer’s husband and dog (not necessarily in that order!). She also shares some of her secrets on how she maintains that fabulous physique (check out her juice recipes).

Wah Thais: Living in Netherlands Mama to finnleynasira

Wah shows off a lot of enviable pretzel-like poses shot in her studio, but she’s also keen on giveaways – so, if you follow her, you might just snag a discount or win an eco-friendly baby bottle. Her Insta is heavy on videos – we loved the one she labeled “scary headstand” and the one she posted showing off her first attempt at “snowga.”

Melissa Lee: “Wife, Mommy, Yogi, BC/Alberta Living / Yoga Medicine Teacher”

Melissa often shares her yoga adventures in the great outdoors, even posing on a paddleboard, proving that Alberta is indeed one of the most beautiful places on Earth. She loves to share travel pics too, and give the scoop on exotic yoga retreats. Melissa’s usually perfectly poised, but she shows the impromptu oopsie moments, too – like that time her toddler son photobombed her after placing his toy trains on her mat!

Josephine Jacob: “Mom of 2, Yogi, Traveler. Canadian (BC) German”

Josephine likes to show the playful side of yoga “because some days all I want to do is play, cuddle, and forget all about adulting.” She travels often – her husband and boys always come along for the ride – and posts some pics of their adventures… but mostly, it’s close-ups of her enviable flexibility and form. In the text, she tells you which poses she’s doing and offers some quick tips.
