Surf’s Up Beach-Themed Birthday Parties & Showers

Looking for the perfect theme for your baby shower? If you’re a bonafide beach bum who worships the ocean, why not celebrate with a Surf & Sand Baby Shower? After all, if you’ve ever seen a little baby frolicking naked on the beach, you know that it’s one of the world’s cutest wonders.

Perfect for an al fresco celebration in the summer months (or as a wishful indoor escape during subzero temps!), everyone will have a blast at your beach-inspired bash. 

Expectant mom Lori threw a Surf-Themed Bash to celebrate her son Lawson’s arrival. The party was hosted by Jennifer Shah of The Pear Event Styling & Planning.

This party was all about the beachy elements – from the color scheme to the treats! Check out these surfboard cookies and pineapple upside down cakes.

I can almost feel the ocean breeze just by looking at these. I bet they served something slushy with pineapples and coconut. Possibly rum. 

Guests were given personalized bags to fill with goodies from The Favor Station! Goodies included sun block, nail polish, and SPF lip balm.

This beachy bash for 6 year old twins Valeria' and Cici's joint birthday was designed by Laila Plant of One Inspired Party and it's all about the adorable details. A beach ball balloon arch crowns the party and a longboard beverage bar sets the mood. The color palette – pink, lime green, yellow, and aqua - keeps the mood light, bright, happy, and festive.

Vibrant pineapple centerpieces are filled to the brim with tropical florals, staying true to the theme and color palette. 

There are plenty of sweet treats on hand from surfboard sugar cookies, beach-themed cupcakes and marshmallow pops, and the stunning three-tiered cake.

Kid-sized picnic tables line the garden where kids can feast before hitting the pool, with a real lifeguard on duty of course!

This beachy dude surfer baby shower, styled by Color Me Meg, celebrates the upcoming arrival of twin boys. Decked out in teal and bright orange, it definitely looks like a warm welcome. Tables are decorated with patterned surfboards, teal chevron runners, and total beach vibes. 

An adorable swim trunk garland hangs overhead while guests munch away and leave with these very sweet "sand bars".
